According to Variety, Fury has been downloaded millions of times from torrent and other file sharing sites since being leaked on November 27th. The leaks are believed to be directly related to the massive hack which shut down Sony's corporate system on November 24th. http://www.socaltech.com/sony_movies_leaked_after_massive_hack/s-0058006.html Ingram Micro Buys ANOVO ---- Santa Ana-based computer and electronics distributor Ingram Micro said over the holiday weekend that it has made a binding ofer to acquire Paris, France-based ANOVO, a provider of reverse logistics and repair services for high tech products. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Ingram Micro said that ANOVO is anticipated to contribute an excess of $300M in annual revenue to the company, after the deal completes early 2015. Ingram Micro said ANOVO will continue to operate as a separate entity. Newegg Dangles Chance At Trip To China ---- Los Angeles-based online electronics retailer Newegg.com is tangling several trips to China for two, as part of its Cyber Monday promotions, the company said this morning. The retailer said that it is launching the Great China TECHspedition Sweepstakes, which will award five grand prizes and their guests a six day, five night trip to China--which will feature VIP activities, guided tours, and more, and which will be shared via social media as "Newegg Changhong Ambassadors". The tour is being sponsored by NewEgg partner Changhong. Changhong Electric is a major Chinese consumer electronics company which manufactures smart television sets. http://www.socaltech.com/newegg_dangles_chance_at_trip_to_china/s-0058008.html Boingo Wireless Gets $50M In Credit Facility ---- Los Angeles-based Wi-Fi and small cell network provider Boingo Wireless said late last week that it has raised $50M in a new credit agreement. According to Boingo, the new credit facility came from Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Silicon Valley Bank. Boingo Wireless said the new line of credit would strengthen its liquidity position, and would be used for working capital. The line was split between $46.5M in revolving credit and a $3.5M term loan. Rates on the new line of credit were not announced. SOA Software's Medrano Gets Award ---- Los Angeles-based SOA Software, which develops software used for API management within corporations, said that Executive Vice President Robert Medrano has scored an award. The company said Medrano was named one of the top 100 influential Hispanics by HITEC (Hispanic IT Executive Council), an industry group focused on senior executives in IT. Medrano has been a key part of building SOA since its beginnings.
