The funding was led by Skyocean International Holdings, Ceyuan Ventures and GuangZhou WinHi. The company said it is set to release four titles this year, partnering with other mobile game development firms to adapt popular Asian mobile games to Western markets. Firefly Games was founded by Michael Zhang and KJ Lin. The company said the funds will go towards acquiring new titles, for internal game development, and strategic investments. The company said it has rolled out new Gigabit Ethernet PHY reference designs for small form factor, IoT networking, to help power embedded networking for devices. Reference designs are used by hardware designers as templates for creating their own applications. Vitesse said it is targeting everything from IP telephony and digital signage to industrial process control, broadband gateways, and small cell phone devices with the new design. Cohu Names Board Member ---- Poway-based Cohu, which develops semiconductor test tools and systems, said yesterday that t has named Karl H. Funke to its board of directors. Funke was most recently an senior executive at Multitest GmbH, having been that company's CEO from 2001 until 2009. Funke had been at Multitest GmbH since 1994. Hulu Rolls Out Watchlist Feature ---- Los Angeles-based streaming television site Hulu has rolled out a new feature to help its users track their favorite shows and content on the service. According to Hulu, its new Watchlist feature lets users track all of the content they are interested in a single place, letting users mark episodes, clips, movies, and shows they would like to watch later. The new feature works both online as well as on iPhones, iPads, Android, and gaming consoles. Hulu said its new Watchlist feature also attempts to figure out what users would most like to watch--for example, putting priority on new episodes of a current show on top of shows or movies that users haven't yet started. http://www.socaltech.com/hulu_rolls_out_watchlist_feature/s-0059003.html Tealium Takes $30.7M More ---- San Diego-based Tealium, the developer of marketing and tag management software led by Jeff Lunsford, said Tuesday morning that it has raised $30.7M in a Series D funding round. The funding was led by Georgian Partners, and also included Bain Capital Ventures, along with Battery Ventures, Tenaya Capital, and Presidio Ventures. The company said the funding will go to expanding its operations and for product innovation. The company said it saw 138 percent year-over-year growth in its sales, although it did not release any financials. Justin LaFayette of Georgian joins the company's board with the funding. Tealium's software is used by enterprises to manage "tags"--snippets of code use to track marketing efforts across e-commerce and other websites. TrueCar Rolls Out TV Ad Campaign ---- Santa Monica-based car buying technology and marketplace operator TrueCar said Tuesday morning that it has rolled out two new, television ads featuring dogs in cars, and the voice of Wen Wilson. TrueCar said its first spot is called "True Love", and focuses on the "love affair between dogs and cars". TrueCar said it is using the new television ads to position TrueCar as the "new way for modern consumers"--especially millenials--to buy a car.
