Seven Lakes Technologies Raises $20M
----
Westlake Village-based Seven Lakes Technologies, a developer of
enterprise software for the oil and gas industry, raised $20M in a
Series A funding round earlier this year. The funding came from
Carrick Capital Partners. Seven Lakes Technologies developers
enterprise workflow and analytics software for the oil and gas
exploration and production industries. The company was founded in
2009, and is led by Shiva Rajagopalan. The funding, although announced
in March, has not been widely covered. Jim Madden and Steve
Unterberger of Carrick Capital both join the company's board.

Progenity Buys Carmenta Bioscience
----
San Diego-based Progeity, which provides complex molecular and
specialized diagnostic testing services, announced this morning that
it has acquired Carmenta Bioscience, a developer of diagnostics for
preeclampsia. Financial terms of the deal were not announced by the
companies. Progenity said that Carmenta's CEO, Matthew Cooper, Ph.D.,
has been named as its Chief Scientific Officer.

eHarmony In Second Phase of Major IT Refresh
----
Santa Monica-based eHarmony the online matchmaking site, said Tuesday
that it has completed the second phase of a major, IT refresh at the
company. eHarmony said that its service is now built on top of Hadoop
2.0, allowing the company to scale out its services with Big Data
analytics, new data models, and more matches for users. eHarmony has
been in a major refresh of its servie since 2013, when founder Dr.
Neil Clark Warren returned to the company, launching a major marketing
initiative, revamping the service's design, adding mobile apps and
more progressive design, and also revamping the back end of the
service. eHarmony ha completed the first stage of the big refresh in
Q4 of 2014.

Enviance Buys Remedy Interactive
----
Carlsbad-based Enviance>, the dveloper of cloud-based software aimed
at the environmental, health, and safety market, has acquired Remedy
Interactive, a developer of loud-based ergonomic and safety management
software. Remedy Interactive is based in Sausalito, California.
Financial detailsof the acquisition were not announced.
Enviance--which was acquired by Battery Ventures in February--said the
buy will help bolster its product portfolio. Enviance is led by David
Muse.

Business.com Names Sales VP
----
Carlsbad-based Business.com, which operates an online site offering up
resources for businesses, said it has named a new VP of Sales--and
completed an overhaul of its website. The company, which is now owned
by JMI Equity, said it named Rick Szatkowski as its new VP of Sales.
Szatkowski had previously served at such companies as Autobytel,
Local.com, Miva, and AdKnowledge. Business.com is led by Tony Uphoff.
The company and sitewas acquired by San Diego-based Resource Nation /
JMI Equity back in 2011, after prior owner Dex One said in 2010 that
it would be shutting down the site.

Nestigator Raises $3M For Online Real Estate Marketplace

Los Angeles-based startup Nestigator, a new online real estate
marketplace led by serial entrepreneur Jerry Slavonia, said today that
it has raised $3M in a Series A funding. The funding was led by
Velocity Street Ventures, and also included un-name angels.
Nestigator's site helps members search for apartments and homes, via a
mobile-first, map-centric interface. Slavonia was formerly founder of
Campus Explorer, and also had been at Rent.com/eBay.  Slavonia had
headed up business development and Internet marketing at Rent.com,
before eBay acquired the company, and had been responsible for that
company's rise in the Internet apartment listings business.

Access Integrated Healthcare Raises $8.5M
----
Los Angeles-based Access Integrated Healthcare said Tuesday morning
that it has raised $8.5M in a first round of funding, to go towards
its diagnostic imaging services. The funding came from Penta Mezzanine
Fund. Access Integrated Healthcare (AIH) says it helps provide
diagnostic imaging for worker's compensation and cosmetic services.
The new funding goes towards continued expansion of its business.
