The funding came from Block26, a new, Los Angeles-based venture capital investor focused on digital currency. Block26 is led by Ni'coel Stark and Pedram Hasid, and says it is focused specifically on investing in Bitcoin startups. The Airbitz investment is the first investment by Block26. Airbitz is led by Paul Puey. http://www.socaltech.com/airbitz_raises_4__k_from_new_la_investor_block_6/s-0061497.html Quality Systems Parts Way With CTO ---- Irvine-based healthcare information systems developer Quality Systems, Inc. said this morning that its Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, Steve Puckett, has resigned from the company, by "mutual agreement" with the company. According to Quality Systems, the move comes due to an effort by new President and CEO Rusty Frantz to take a "detailed, fresh look at our technology initiatives". QSII said that Puckett will be replaced by Daniel J. Morefield, EVP and COO of the company. Puckett will remain at the company until November 13th to help in the transition. Zealot Networks Acquires AllScreen ---- Los Angeles-based Zealot Networks, the digital media company led by Danny Zappin, said last week that it has acquired Culver City-based AllScreen, a video syndication company. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Zealot said the buy will help it with both distribution and technology. The two said AllScreen sees an average of 250 million monthly video views.
