Financial details of the acquisition were not announced. Bluewolf provided IT consulting and cloud computing for Salesforce.com, and had more than 500 employees spread across 12 offices in the US, Europe, and Australia. The title officially launches on May 24th on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Blizzard said its beta users have already racked up more than 4.9 billion minutes of play time on the game. In a move which stretches the definition of a "beta" release--making it more of a marketing blitz and promotion than a test--Blizzard said it had planned to make sure "as many console and PC gamers as possible" could experience the game. Companies typically have used beta releases to iron out the bugs in software before full release, with a controlled and limited number of users. Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed. Optiv said it has acquired "substantially all" of the assets of Evantix, and will combine that technology into its existing third party risk services. Optiv, which provides cybersecurity services and technology, is owned by private equity investor Blackstone. USC Gets $200M From Oracle's Larry Ellison For Cancer Research ---- The University of Southern California has just received a huge, $200M donation from Oracle founder Larry Ellison, to create a new cancer treatment research center. According to the school, the donation will create the Lawrence J. Ellison Institute for Transformative Medicine of USC, a multi-disciplinary center focused on the prevention and treatment of cancer. The new center will be led by David B.
