*The Emergence of Cyber-Physical, and What it Means to Safety and Security*
The Emergence of Cyber-Physical, and
What it Means to Safety and Security. While the operators of industrial IoT
systems recognize that these systems might fall victim to cyber attacks,
the consequences to society or the economy of such attacks are often more
difficult to imagine. What happens if factory floors come to a halt? Could
a globally distributed fleet of device status monitoring “things” go blind?
And what of attacks targeting economically mission-critical infrastructure
such as the electric power grid, transportation signaling and control, or
medical devices? This presentation will explore security strategies to
manage risk and stay ahead of the rapidly expanding OT and IoT threat
landscape. See http://www.socaltech.com/calendar/eventid/26220
