*Pluto TV Acquired By Viacom For $340M*

Los Angeles-based streaming television service Pluto TV, which offers up
free streaming television to users through devices such as Roku, Amazon
Fire TV, Apple TV, and Chromecast, has been acquired by Viacom in a deal
worth $340M in cash, according to Viacom. Viacom said that Pluto TV has
more than 12 million monthly active users, with about 7.5 million of those

Santa Barbara-based network security products developer PacketSled is
boosting its board of advisors, saying on Tuesday that it has added Don
Goldstein, a former SVP and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at
CBRE, to its board of advisors. Goldstein is currently the CEO of cyber
security advisory and managed security company 5Q Cyber LLC, and was
previously CISO at CBRE. The company said Goldstein has spent nearly 20

*AECOM Wins Big Nuclear Project Deal In UK*

Los Angeles-based AECOM, a big professional and technical services and
infrastructure developer, reported a big win in the UK this morning, as
part of a big nuclear power project. According to AECOM, it has linked with
AWE plc to both decommission and demolish and build new facilities for the
UK government's nuclear deterrence program, which is worth approximatelly
$500M over at least 12 years. The company said the initial contract with
AWE's Nuclear Capability project is worth $3M until 2020. (More...

Los Angeles-based Hulu and a brand new startup, Humu, are engaging in the
courts, after Hulu threatened to sue Humu over trademark infringement. In a
pre-emptive move, Silicon Valley-based Humu, a startup developing "human
talent development" software, has filed a complaint in the United States
District Court, Northern District of California seeking declaratory

Do you just have to have that Starbucks coffee, but you just don't want to
go down the street to pick it up? Starbucks announced on Tuesday that it
will be expanding delivery of its coffee in Los Angeles--along with five
other cities--through a deal with Uber Eats. According to Starbucks, the
expansion of its Starbucks Delivery service follows a test in Miami of the
service; the company hopes to eventually bring the delivery service to

According to OpenX, Rob Leff, formerly the CFO of Fandango, will join the
