headed by longtime software legend Charlie Jackson--announced its first
title on Friday, a vector drawing software called SaviDraw. The software is
the first title for the new company, which was founded in 2015 by Charlie

Santa Barbara-based SerImmune, a company developing immune mapping
technology, has raised $1.4M in new funding, as part of what appears to be
an ongoing $7.0M funding effort. The funding--which was disclosed via a
regulatory filing--shows the round as a debt funding round, suggesting the
funding is likely a convertible debt funding from existing investors.
SerImmune previously raised $8.0M in funding back in 2017, from such

Toronto- and Los Angeles-based Edesa Biotech has merged with Stellar
Biotechnologies, according to the two companies, and will focus on
development and advancement of innovative treatments for dermatological and
gastrointestinal indications. The newly combined company will operate as
Edesa Biotech. The company, which has its headquarters in Toronto, also has
an office in Port Hueneme, in Ventura County, where Stellar Biotechnologies

*Qualcomm Backs SiFive In $65.4M Funding For RISC Processors*

San Diego-based Qualcomm Ventures, the venture investment arm of Qualcomm,
is one of the new investors in Silicon Valley-based RISC processor
developer SiFive. SiFive said last week that it has raised $65.4M in a
Series D funding round, which came from Sutter Hill Ventures, Chengwei
Capital, Spark Capital, Osage University Partners and Huami, and also
included new investor Qualcomm Ventures. The size of Qualcomm's inestment

*Cubic Wins Air Force Contract*

San Diego-based Cubic Corporation announced this morning that it has scored
a win with the U.S. Air Force (USAF), to develop a data radio for the USAF.
According to Cubic, the award went to its Cubic Mission Solutions (CMS)
business division, for delivery of a Small Form Factor (SFF) Radio
prototype for the Data Link Enterprise (DLE). The size of the contract was
not announced. The company said the component is used for providing
