*Report: Ring Coaching Police How To Gain Video Without A Warrant*

Los Angeles-based Ring, the maker of doorbell and security cameras which is
now owned by Amazon, is looking to make it very easy for local law
enforcement to obtain surveillance footage without a need for a warrant,
according to a report from Motherboard. According to the report, Ring's
tools now provide an interactive map that allows the police to request
footage from camera owners--and has actively been working on helping police

*Snap Seeks To Raise $1.0 Billion In Debt Offering*

Santa Monica-based Snap says it is looking to raise $1.0 billion in new
funding, through a convertible senior note offering and private placement.
According to Snap, the convertible senior notes will be due in 2026, and
will be a private placement to qualified institutional buyers. Snap also
said it intends to grant the initial purchasers of the notes an option to
purchase up to an additional $150.0 million principal amount of notes. (

*Sony Electronics Launches Competition For Female Filmmakers, Photographers*

Sony Electronics, which runs its U.S. operations out of San Diego, says it
has launched a contest that will award $21,000 in project budget and up to
$5,000 in Sony gear to female photographers and filmmakers. According to
the company, its Alpha Female Creator-in-residence Program is aimed at
helping advance the careers of female photographers and filmmakers. The

Los Angeles-based FanDragon Technologies, a startup offering up mobile
ticket delivery software, announced this morning that it has hired on three
new executives. The company said it has named Steve Machin as Global
Director of Ticketing Strategy & Innovation, Mark Weiss as Chief Business
Officer & General Counsel, and Jason Black as Chief of Staff. Machin has
previously served at Live Nation and Ticketmaster; Weiss was previously at

*Former Tinder Marketing Head Sues Match Group*

The former marketing head of Los Angeles-based dating and hookup-app
developer Tinder, Rosette Pambakian, has sued Tinder's parent company,
Match Group, over wrongful termination. According to The Verge, the lawsuit
alleges that former Tinder CEO Greg Blatt sexually assaulted her in 2016,
and that Pambakian was later fired as a result of going public with the

Long Beach-based investor Sunstone Management is one of the investors in
Emeryville, California-based Lucira Health, as part of a Series B funding
rounding, the company said on Monday morning. The Series B funding was
worth $15M, and was led by Seraph Group, and also included Eclipse
Ventures, DCVC (Data Collective), Y Combinator and Sunstone Management and
new backer ShangBay Capital. Lucira Health is developing diagnostic tools

*SpaceX Offers New Dedicated Small Satellite Launches*

Hawthorne-based SpaceX said on Monday that it will begin offering up
regularly scheduled, shared "rideshare" launches, aimed at use by small
satellite operators. According to SpaceX, those launches will cost as low
as $2.25M per mission, including up to 150 kg of payload mass. The company
said that--unlike the usual practice in the industry--the launches will not
be dependent on "primary" missions, and will not be held up by any delays

$4M in funding, from HG Ventures, according to the two. According to HG
Ventures, Romeo Power will use the funding to scale production and for

use in electric vehicles, and was founded by engineers who had previously
