*Snap Pitches Spectacles As Filmmaking Tool*

Santa Monica-based Snap, the parent company of Snapchat, is still on a
quest to make its fancy (and expensive) 3D image capturing Spectacles
sunglasses a hit, and is now pitching the $380 Spectacles 3 as a
film-making tool. According to Snap, it has funded and is now promoting a
short film, "Duck Duck", which was made "to explore storytelling in 3D".
Snap--which is streaming the short film on its Spectacles website, was

*Weyo Rolls Out New App, Oddlife*

Los Angeles-based Weyo, which develops interactive titles for the
children's market, says it has rolled out a new original app, based on the
preschool show The Oddbods Show. According to Weyo, its new app, the
Oddbods 'Oddlife', is aimed at stimulating play and learning for
preschoolers. The new title follows the earlier release of Weyo's first
app, Sesame Street Yourself, last month. Weyo said the new title uses

podcast advertising and matching, has launched its platform, saying that
its platform will help advertisers discover and run native ads on podcasts.
The startup--led by David Kiezkowski and Agnes Kozera, the former founders
of Famebit--said it is looking to help the 85 percent of podcasters who are
not monetizing their podcasts, through connecting those podcasters to brand
