Glendale-based Reveleer, a developer of cloud-based software used for
managing medical data, has raised a Series C found of financing, the
company said this week. The company said the funding was led by Boston
Millenia Partners, and also included existing investor Upfront Ventures.
Reveleer provides its software to healthcare payers, such as health plans
and Managed Care Organizations (MCOs), helping them to manage their risk

*AeroVironment Names New CFO*

Simi Valley-based Aerovironment, which develops unmanned drones for the
military, has named Kevin McDonnell as Senior Vice President and Chief
Financial Officer, the company said late Thursday. McDonnell was most
recently Chief Financial Officer of JAMS, Inc., and previously served at
Teradata Corporation and was also CFO of Digital Insight. Aerovironment
said that its interim Chief Financial Officer, Brian Shackley, will remain

*Iteris Names Former Raymond James COO To Board*

Santa Ana-based *Iteris <http://www.iteris.com>*, which develops data
products for the transportation and agriculture markets, said this week
that it has named Dennis W. Zank, the former Chief Operating Officer of
Raymond James Financial to its board. Zank was COO of Raymond James
Financial until September of 2018. Zank previously served on the boards of
Raymond James Financial, the Options Clearing Corporation and the National

San Diego-based Kneron, a developer of artificial intelligence software,
has raised $40M more in Series A funding, from investor Horizons Ventures.
Horizons Ventures it the venture arm of Hong Kong tycoon Li Ka-Shing.
Accoring to Deal Street Asia, the funding brings the company's total to
$73M. The company also has raised funding from Alibaba Entrepreneurs Fund,
CDIB, Himax Technologies, Qualcomm, Thundersoft, and Sequoia Capital. (

*Report: Snapchat, NBC Team On 2020 Olympic Summer Games Coverage*

Los Angeles-based Snap, the parent company of Snapchat, has inked a deal
with NBC where NBC will produce four, daily original shows on the Olympics
and Team USA for Snapchat, according to Variety. Financial details of the
deal were not announced. The two previously had agreements to cover both
the 2018 Winter Olympics and 2016 Summer Olympics. The move most likely
will help Snapchat cement its place among millenials and Gen Z as a major

*TikTok Grows In LA With New Office*

TikTok, the developer of the popular, short video app where people combine
short videos of themselves set to music, says it is growing in Los Angeles,
and is moving into a brand new, 120,000 square foot office in Culver City.
According to the company, the expansion will strengthen its U.S. presence,

permanent office in LA "deepens our bonds with the city, and the talent and

*Tinder To Add Panic Button*

Los Angeles-based dating app developer Tinder is getting set to add a new,
emergency panic button to the app--in the case a date really goes
bad--which will immediately summon emergency authorities and send them to a
person's location. According to the WSJ, the new features will be enabled
by an investment by Tinder's parent company, Match Group, in an app

*Brain Corp. Claims Record Sales As Robotics Takes Off*

San Diego-based artificial intelligence software developer Brain Corp says
it is saw "record sales and revenue growth" in 2019, on strong retailer
demand for autonomous, mobile robots. The company said that its saw a more
thn 300 percent increase in its revenues last year due to a "surge" in
interest in floor care machines that are powered by its BrainOS software by
retailers, including Walmart. The company said its software is now used on
