*Teledyne Acquires FLIR For $8.0 Billion*

Thousand Oaks-based Teledyne Technologies said today that it has agreed to
acquire FLIR Systems, which develops infrared cameras and similar
technology, in a deal worth $8.0 billion. According to Teledyne, the cash
and stock transaction is split between $28.00 per share in cash and 0.0718
shares of Teledyne common stock for each FLIR share. Both companies
develops sensors, cameras, and sensor systems. Teledyne said that it is

*Netwrix Merges With Stealthbits*

Irvine-based Netwrix, a provider of cybersecurity software, has merged with
Stealthbits, a provider of software for protecting sensitive data and
credentials from attackers. Financial details of the merger were not
announced. The combined company says it will have over 500 employees and
customers in more than 50 countries; the newly combined firm will be led by
current Netwrix CEO Steve Dickson. (More...

*Yardi Buys CommissionTrac*

Santa Barbara-based Yardi announced this week that it has acquired
CommissionTrac, a developer of revenue management software for commercial
real estate companies. Financial terms of the acquisition were not
announced. CommissionTrac was founded in 2015. According to Yardi, it will
be integrating CommmissionTrac's platform into its CommercialEdge suite,

*J2 Global Board Member Dies*

Los Angeles-based J2 Global said Monday morning that one of its board of
directors, Robert (Bob) J. Cresci, has died. Cresci, 75, was Founder and
Managing Director of Pecks Management Partners Ltd. J2 Global said that
Cresci had been on its board since 1998, when the fund first invested in J2
Global, when it was still a private company. J2 Global's brands include

*EDF Renewables Puts North Dakota Wind Project Into Operation*

San Diego-based renewable energy developer EDF Renewables North America has
successfully put another project into operation, this time a 150 megawatt
wind energy project in North Dakota. The company said its Merricourt Wind
Project has been turned over to Otter Tail Power Company. EDF Renewables
developed and managed the construction process for the wind farm, which is

*Perch Picks Up $2.5M For Credit Building App*

Los Angeles-based Perch, a startup which helps users grow their credit by
allowing them to pay for such things as Netflix, Spotify, Hulu, and other
services on credit, has raised $2.5M in a seed funding, the company said
this week. The funding came from Marcy Venture Partners, Citi, Softbank
Group Opportunity Fund, Concrete Rose, and Village Capital. The company was
