*Amazon Closes $8.5 Billion MGM Acquisition*

Amazon said on Thursday that it has completed its $8.5 billion acquisition
of MGM, after receiving final approvals from the European Union on the
deal. The acquisition deal had been announced in May of last year. The deal
makes more than 4,000 films and 17,000 TV shows part of Amazon's online
streaming service, Amazon Prime Video, and also further increases Amazon's

*Fair Sells Assets To Shift*

Los Angeles-based online used car market operator Fair sold a number of its
assets, including its dealer listing marketplace to San Francisco-based
auto e-commerce platorm operator Shift, in a deal worth approximately $15M.
According to Shift, it paid both cash and shares of its Class A common
stock to acquire certain assets of Fair Technologies, which also includes
its employees. Shift says it is using funding from SoftBank Group for the

San Diego-based *Skyminyr <https://www.skyminyr.com>*, a startup developing
AI-driven software to help both recruit talent and retain employees, has
raised $2.5M in a seed funding round, according to the company. The company
said funding came form searh firms True Search, Caldwell Partners and
IQTalent, along with Karmel Capital. The startup is led by Foudner and CEO
Alex Bates. The company said the funding goes towards sdevelopment and
