According to the company, the move will go to enhance its charger availability and will help with "building range confidence" for EV drivers. The deal was worth approximately $1.2 billion, and was an all-cash transaction. According to Semtech, the deal is expected to add approximately $100M of high-margin IoT cloud services to its recurring revenues.
