facing a major backlash, after it revealed that it has replaced animators
in Japan with artificial intelligence software. According to Netflix Japan,
it decided to use AI due to a "labor shortage" for the title "Dog and Boy".

*Activision Blizzard Settles SEC Suit For $35M*

Santa Monica-based Activision Blizzard has agreed to pay the SEC $35M to
settle a lawsuit over the company's handling of workplace misconduct and
the SEC's whistleblower protection rule, according to the SEC. The SEC
charged Activision Blizzard had "failed to maintain disclosure controls and
procedures to ensure that the company could assess whether its disclosures

Irvine-based consumer electronics brand TCL is ramping up its branding
efforts, saying this week that it has signed up a number of sports-related
sponsorships. According to TCL, among the moves, it has signed up Los
Angeles Chargers quarter back Justin Herbert as its official "National
Football League (NFL) Brand Ambassador", and also taked with the Los
Angeles Chargers to become the team's "official TV and smartphone partner".

Los Angeles-based Iyuno, a provider of media localization and distribution
products for entertainment studios and online streamers, says it has made a
strategic investment in a Turkish dubbing studio, Ak'la Kara International.
Financial details of the transaction were not announced. Iyuno said the
deal will help it increase its capacity for Turkish language dubbing. The
companies said Ak'la Kara International's current clients include Netflix,

engineers and others from SpaceX, said on Wednesday that it has launched a
new business which aims to provide autonomous, 3D metal printing to
manufacturers. The company--which says it is backed by Two Sigma Ventures,
Founders Fund and Threshold Ventures--says it is looking to bring
"on-demand" production to mainstream industries, via "autonomous printing
