i guess i should see if any body here can help me. i am installing a system on a world wide oceangoing surf/dive/fish charter vessel.
i will be able to receive internet through either WiFi or cellular while in port and coast wise. while offshore i will use a fleet 55 satelite system (Nera F 55) through either an RS 232 port, usb,or RS 422 i can get MPDS at aprox 64k always on @ $3.00 per meg OR 64k isdn clean line for $6.65 per minute. depending on what number is dialed with user name and password on a ppp dial up connection is the service you get. you can also use a RJ 45 isdn port for the 64k isdn service only. what i need is a solution for wan failover between the three wan connections. multi wan router with dial up backup might do it expect i need to count the satellite megs separate i also need a usage billing solution email solution i need to bill cellular/WiFi and satellite separately. there are going to be 6 guest laptops,1 captain laptop,1 pilot house pc,and a sbs 2003 advanced server. any ideas...? i will post a drawing later This Message has been Scaned for Virus by McAfee VirusScan v4 --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "SOCALWUG" group.
