-----Original Message----- From: Michael Mee Subject: [SCFN] $5 AP by FON
FON is selling their AP for $5, limit 1. https://shop.fon.com/FonShop/shop/ShopController?view=product&product=PRD-00 1 Take a look around while you're there. FON has grown from a somewhat goofy software distro to promote sharing your broadband connection to a company backed by Google and Ebay (via Skype) and an impressive list of advisors. It will be interesting to see where they go ... and whether they get sued by a cable company (for promoting illegal internet service sharing) along the way. Mind you I think the existing neighbor sharing service which has the SSID 'linksys' (or sometimes 'default') already works pretty well. :-). cheers, michael www.socalfreenet.org _______________________________________________ SoCalFreeNet.org General Discussion List To unsubscribe, please visit: http://socalfreenet.org/mailman/listinfo/discuss_socalfreenet.org --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "SOCALWUG" group.
