It may be possible with a 3rd party firmware upgrade on the Linksys. You'll need to research it a little bit as only certain models can take the different 3rd party firmware. So first you will need to find which one supports a webpage redirect, and then figure out which model of Linksys WRT it will run on.
Other alternatives would be the ZyXEL G-4100 or one of D-Link's DSA series hotspot gateways. I know the ZyXEL, and I'm pretty sure the D-Link will allow you to redirect users to a different page when they first associate. They will also offer other hotspot features such as "IP Plug and Play", walled gardens, etc. > -----Original Message----- > From: [email protected] > [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Victor Caballero > Sent: Thursday, November 09, 2006 6:47 AM > To: [email protected] > Subject: [SOCALWUG] Default Home Page for AP > > > Is it possible to set a Linksys router/ap(or Belkin) to > default users to a > specific URL when they open their browser or do I need a > special router/AP? > Help appreciated. > > Thanks, > Victor Caballero > Thetopdeal.com > --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "SOCALWUG" group.
