I'm actually a member of FON, and am a big fan of theirs. I got a router way back when, at a time when we still had to pay for them :-) .
Unfortunately, I couldn't get the router to work to my satisfaction. At that time they were still crippling the router's abilities, which was frustrating. Hopefully they stopped doing that. I ran out of time to fool with it, and never got back to it, so that project sort of fell off the back burner for me.
