Dear Fellow So California Wireless User Group, Frank, Mike, and Hey Jeff
The last two days have been full of horror stories about dangers of remote Point-of-Sale and ATM identity theft. I don't know how much of the risk comes thru our wireless world and how much of the risk comes from other interceptions of credit card data. That said, sounds like the next extension of wireless war driving efforts. You would want to think that high tech law enforcement would already be on top of this. Any one have any thoughts as to whether we could have a meaningful participation in closing those holes if they are valid concerns? Last but not least, hope the press is not just creating another storm out of ignorance. Some of those gas station pumps d have some pretty little UHF antennas over the pump. Hmmmm. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "SOCALWUG" group.
