Nice brick building. Holy smokes they put the antennas above
a massive RFI source, all those AC cooling fans. Geesh.
They do get some weather protection under the eaves.

The large antenna is pointed almost parallel to the ground,
likely to a mountain antenna, for a shorter, faster
path to the cloud compared to geosync orbit.

The small antenna appears to be pointed skywards?
Or way higher up on the nearby mountain?

Could be both are going to nearby tall pole?
That metal sheet roof does not look like it would
take kindly to antennas. Multipath reflected waves?

Can one mount wifi on metal roofs?
What vertical distance above them must they be?
Guess I am talking only omni.

The large antenna's lead can not be seen, and it's
bleached appearance leads me to assume it is the
first, older antenna, either no longer used, or
for some other reason than wifi. It's larger
size states to me more bandwidth, weaker signal,
older electronics, etc.

The small antenna has a lead showing just below
it, leading around the corner, behind the brick
access wall. There is that black post at the end
of the access wall. Looks like either a weather
proof box for an omni antenna, or a vent pipe
for the sewer, more likely not a wifi antenna
as then it would have to punch through the
building for wifi over there (or a second antenna).

Then there is the antenna on the roof. Very specialized
type. It does not look like a wifi antenna. Nor TV.
More like a loaded, highly directional, high gain
for CB, given the width of the antenna placing it
in the TV channels 4-5 range.

I've never seen a two story rest stop, and I see an open
window up there, so some type of office space with
daily staff, which needs the CB like antenna.
Likely it is for radio band monitoring for highway
patrol channels, or DOT channels, or both.

Cool pic Dave. I got a lot from it. I can see government
is finally spending 'good' bucks on wireless at remote locations.
I like that.
