As noted at the beginning of the article, things are still "shaking
loose" from the announcement. I get the impression, from what is stated
here, is that the "free" [ahem "2-hour"] use is per store, so if you
regularly visit one starbucks, but happen to be near others now and
then, you'll need to make a stored-value purchase at each store to
receive the benefit in every location.

As it turns out, near the UA theater in La Canada/Montrose [where the
"2" used to end going north], there is a Goldsteins next to the
Starbucks. Goldsteins offers their internet access completely free, and
the signal strength is good enough that I can sit in a comfy chair at
the Starbucks to use it, but their employees are not techs -- if the AP
is hosed, getting them to do anything other than a simple reset ain't
gonna happen [especially if you walked in from Starbucks to ask them to
fix it...] Of course, getting the Starbucks folks to do more than a
simple reset may be problematic as well, but there is a better chance
that the barrista can at least get competent technical support from the
home office...

"You

that
you

These
are
available

with
a

Once
