I didn't know that Nokia cancelled it's Rooftop product? This was a mesh network technology on 2.4 Ghz.
"There are approximately 1,800 Internet service providers in the U.S. that offer fixed-wireless solutions. Despite years of unfulfilled promise, fixed-wireless broadband may be making a comeback, especially now that the FCC has made it more expensive for smaller ISPs to use the existing infrastructure of telecoms for DSL and cable modem service. Also, the JumpStart Wireless bill currently before the U.S. Senate could free up more spectrum for wireless Internet providers. But most insiders don't expect fixed-wireless solutions to explode in the next 12 to 24 months. Nokia recently killed its Rooftop platform, which let fixed-wireless service providers use meshing technology to boost their coverage." http://www.nytimes.com/aponline/technology/AP-Wireless-Broadband.html Frank -- ---------------------------------------------------------------- Pasadena Networks, LLC. http://pasadena.net 626-676-4761 Wireless equipment, support and solutions. http://www.pasadena.net/shop/
