Hello, everybody: I just wanted to pass on this application for presenters at an upcoming Best Practices event (April 4th, 3.30-5.30. Location yet to be determined, but likely near Downtown Los Angeles), which is sponsored by the Community Technology Organizing Consortium (CTOC). CTOC is a group of people who operate or manage nonprofit community technology centers throughout Los Angeles to provide meaningful access to technology for people who otherwise wouldn't have access. Our planning committee thought that it would be great to have somebody from SOCALWUG present successful wireless applications deployed in our communities, and how we can set up similar networks. We are all interested in hearing some stories and cautionary tales that some of you can share with us. If you are interested in presenting or attending our event, please send an email to the event coordinator Jeff Caltabiano ([EMAIL PROTECTED]). Thank you, and I hope to see you at our event! --davis "Computers are useless...they only give us answers." --Pablo Picasso Davis Park, Program Director DISKovery Computer Learning Center Little Tokyo Service Center - CDC 231 E. 3rd Street Suite G106 Los Angeles, CA 90013 (213) 621.4158 - DISKovery (213) 473.1684 - office (213) 473-1681 - fax http://diskovery.ltsc.org -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Monday, March 17, 2003 9:11 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [ctoc] Reminder-4/24 Best Practices Call for Presenters Importance: Low Greetings, This is a just a reminder that the last day to sign-up as a presenter for Best Practices IV is Friday, March 21.
