Had a question about associating with an AP:
I know that with Apple's Airport software (at least version 1.3 does anyway), my Orinoco card will automatically associate with the strongest signal received -- can any explain or point me to an online resource that explains the technicalities of how this works?
And do all 802.11 cards have this ability? (Is it built into the 802.11b spec?) Or is it up to the hardware manufacturer's to program the card drivers to do this?
