First thing is to simplify.

Remove the MAC filtering and see how it goes. Then take one step back at a
time, disable WEP, etc.

You can restore the security safeguards when you determine the problem.

Subject: [SOCALWUG] Getting linksys wireless router to work w/ SBC DSL

---------- Forwarded message ----------
From: Scott Zimmer <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

Hi everyone,

I recently set up a linksys router on my SBC DSL line.
Things have been going fine, and I was able to
connect with my laptop with no problems.

Last night I tried connecting with my PDA, and after
some struggle was able to do so. Shortly thereafter,
I lost the wireless connection, and since then I've
been unable to connect through the DSL line.

Any advice? The router is set up to block all MAC
addresses except those on my laptop and PDA. I've
emailed SBC support, but no reply so far, and I'm not optimistic about their
help anyway...

Thanks,
scott
