Avoid the Linksys WMP11, they changed the chipset inside them without
changing the model numbers. So Linux has drivers for the older ones that
you won't find in the market anymore.

Same with D-Link DWL520. Don't know who is making these brain dead
decisions in these companies.

I settled on Netgear MA311 which are available aplenty and work well.
Obviously, these are only 802.11b. But the drivers are mature and the
cards also support the hostap driver.

Some drivers have just been released for the entire line of Atheros
802.11a/b/g chipset based cards that can be found at
http://sourceforge.net/projects/madwifi. I tried out the driver and it
needs some work for my purposes. YMMV.
