hi folks,
i have an interesting problem to solve....
i am studying in univ and my dept has it's own block in the univ. the area is roughly around 300 sq mts. u ppl know of any techniques to determine the location of the mobile user... maybe accurately to about which room/lab the mobile user is in using ad-hoc technique. i am wondering if such a thing is possible in first place. some sort of research (Eg RADAR technique) is done to find an avg soln to the above problem; but those are for non-adhoc types (i.e with the help of access points and signal strengths)... any help in this direction would be greatly appreciated....
and one more thing is to do with the security issues..... let me give u an example... suppose we do not want anyone to snoop our signal just outside our premises here in IBM, we were planning to do a bit of research in building a JAMMER. yes, u heard it right... a jammer to jam RF signals outside our premises. I am aware of such jammers for GSM phones; but not for WiFi. What would be a possible technology (in terms of PHY) to use to build such a jammer. Please let me know if you people have any pointers for this.
thanks in advance,
kiran
