Chris,

I manufacture a dish for the Canopy Motorola Products that works fantastic.
It is about 18" dia. and gives about 16dbi gain. A smaller dish will give
you less gain, and less directionality. What are you trying to do?

John

Subject: [SOCALWUG] dish sizes

Hey,

I have a question about dishes.
I have a primestar dish that I play around with for my wifi stuff, but it
is huge and heavy.
I have the big Trevor-Marshall-style one (

How small can you make a dish for 2.4 GHz before it is not worth it anymore?

Would a dish smaller than the wavelength be effective?

Chris
