Hello, I joined this list because I am taking a new media and technology course at Roosevelt University and am writing a paper about wireless LANs. I saw an article about your group on Wired.com.
As you can tell, I work for Motorola, but not for the division that produces any of the Wi-Fi(tm) related wireless equipment. I need input from two or three people to help develop the paper - are any of you interested? If so, please respond directly to [EMAIL PROTECTED] These are the questions I have: (Please leave out any brand names in your reply) 1. What do you see as the main advantages to wireless LANs? 2. What are the major disadvantages? (I have a general understanding about the issue of access points not being protected - perhaps you could provide more in-depth information, or issues other than access point vulnerability.) 3. Where do you expect to see this technology going in the future? If you have a personal wireless LAN set up in your home: 4. What surprising thing did you learn when setting up or administering the WLAN? 5. If you could do it over again, would you change anything? If so, what? Thanks for your interest. Pamela
