Over the last few weeks I noticed a strange behavior of my airport set-up. I have the original Apple graphite base station running Airport version 3.1.1 and the original airport card in my Apple PowerBook Titanium 500MHz running 10.2.8
In my house is also a wireless dsl network (SMC eazyconnect) available. Over the last few weeks I noticed that I can hardly get a decent Wi-Fi connection. I can't find the house network at all anymore though on a PC it's just fine and my airport base station only gives me a decent signal strength when it is less than 6ft away! I checked the base station and it seems to be OK. I checked if the antenna is connected to my airport card and it looks ok. Lately I got some parts of my display replaced by Apple and it seems worse since then but is that possible? In case I have to replace my card or base station I would also welcome feed back on the products to buy nowadays. Do I have to stay with Apple or shall I switch to a 3rd party? Any hints or tips are welcome. Thanks, Axel
