Hello, I am hosting a get together at the TransStellar office in Agoura Thursday, November 6th at 6:00pm on til about 10:00pm.
This is not a "Regular" SOCALWUG meeting with a planned presentation. This is hands-on work where one or two folks will build something and show the rest of us how to do it. Let's call this a Project SIG meeting. Think way back to the first days of SOCALWUG. Or watch the first few videos. The meetings were held in this office. So if you made it to one of the first meetings, you know where it is already. We'll be working on the first project (Cantenna) and planning some future projects: 1. Making a cantenna 2. Wireless pet cam 3. Access Point Antennas 4. WiFi video conferencing system I will attempt to make this a weekly meeting. Some of these lab meetings may be on the weekend or during the day on weekdays. (Especially the outdoor Solar AP stuff :) I will post updates about it to the SOCALWUG discussion list. (Subscribe to the Discussion List at www.socalwug.org) If you have any parts for a cantenna, or any finished projects like a Pringles can or Beancan antenna, please bring them along. I'd like to document how to build these and take digicam pix and video for posterity, an upcoming book, and SeattleWireless TV & LPBN. I'll spring for Pizza and drinks.
