I have a system using a Senao 802.11b PCcard and running SuSE Linux 8.2.
It once worked, but isn't any longer. Obviously, something has changed
but I'm at a loss to figure what. The driver for this card is wlan-ng.

The AP is running 128-bit WEP. So far as I know, the keys are set the
same on both ends (and I do have access to both, so I'm pretty sure).
My laptop can connect to the AP with an Orinoco card just fine. However,
the AP (Linksys) won't respond properly to any Linux browser for some of
its pages, particularly the one showing current connections, so I'm a
bit in the dark. (I think that problem has to do with the use of some
Javascript functions only present in a Windoze environment. I have
complained to Linksys but have no answer.)

Unfortunately, wlan-ng won't respond properly to an iwconfig command,
so I'm left with wlancfg. That seems to show that the Senao has made a
connection to the AP since the AP's MAC address appears in the output.
The next step, of course, is to get an IP address using DHCP. However,
dhcpcd fails, making me doubt the connection.

I've put Kismet on my laptop and monitored the air when the Senao tries
to start up. I see probe messages from the Senao but no answers from
the AP. I don't see any DHCP traffic.

Ideas would be much appreciated. I might even be willing to hire some
help, if I can't get it working soon.
