Thanks for the feedback!  The kit looks pretty cool but I don't think I
have the skills to build something like this...or maybe this will give me
an opportunity to learn...  I was just checking to see if there was one
that was already manufactured.  As for the battery, my idea was to have
the option of removing the OBDII/Bluetooth connector to use on other
vehicles.  The Inventel device has a battery, plug for power, and an
on/off switch.  This would have been perfect, except that it's
discontinued.
