I have a $50 NetGear MR814v2 that once you flash it to the latest update
(Version 5.03 Nov 18 2003) works very reliably (I have it set to let
SSH into my box at home that I use for an encrypted HTML proxy over my
384KBit/sec upload so I can surf at work and at hotspots in private)
and it hasn't rebooted due to high traffic yet. The flash I mentioned
also improved my wireless access quite a bit in the house- they probably
modded the radios' firmware a bit.
