Now, aren't two-way 802.11a/b/g links unreliable above 30 km per hr?  From
what I recall when I used to work at Intersil (once Harris Semiconductor,
then Globespan-virata, now Conexant), radios built to the 802.11 standard
were never intended to work at high velocities.  Can the folks who have
war-driving and war-flying experience shed any light on this 802.11 in the
Car press release from Atheros?  Eric
