SOCALWUG member and amateur radio operator Jack Unger (K6XS) will be "on the air" starting at 5:30 PM tomorrow, then throughout the SOCALWUG meeting, and for 60 minutes after the meeting tomorrow evening, Thursday, June 24th.
The purpose will be to: 1. "Talk-in" (provide directions) for any licensed radio amateur who is planning to attend the SOCALWUG meeting tomorrow evening. 2. Discuss wireless topics in general and specifically to discuss the evenings meeting topic (Mike Outmesguine's new Wi-Fi Toys book). 3. Be sure everyone gets home safely. Jack will use the K6CPT repeater located on Mt. Disappointment (near Mt. Wilson). Coverage should be from the Southern San Jouquin Valley down throughout LA and Orange counties and down towards the San Diego County area. The repeater output frequency is 145.300 MHz with a minus 600 KHz offset and a PL frequency of 100 Hz. All licensed amateurs in SOCALWUG (and beyond) are invited to monitor the repeater on the way to and from the meeting. For more info, give Jack a call on the "landline" at 818-227-4220. -- Jack Unger - President, Ask-Wi.Com, Inc.
