I'm hoping to get one in August or September. I saw a demo of it and it looked pretty sweet. The items I remember:
1, The ability to push out firmware to all APs. 2, It constantly monitors the network and adjusts AP power to prevent interference. 3, You can load floorplan maps into the device and then perform a site survey based on where you placed the APs. The device then creates a map of coverage area & weak spots. 4, If one AP goes down, the device can up the power on nearby APs to make up for the one that went down temporarily. I have a data sheet on it somewhere if you would like a copy. -Mike -----Original Message----- From: Brian Cilley [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Thursday, July 01, 2004 3:32 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [SOCALWUG] Cisco's WLAN Solution Engine (WLSE) Hey, was wondering if someone could give me a high level overview of this offering? Have you used it? Is it friendly? Do you still use it? How about competitors? Etc.. Thanks! Brian
