We have made a protocol called Nstreme that addresses the 802.11 bottlenecks that are also addressed by non-PHY protocol level of Wimax.

Here are a couple of topics on our forum on the results and test that users are finding. Some are quite impressive. The protocol has allot calculations to get every last drop of throughput out of the bandwidth, so we are finding it CPU resource intensive. We will look at how to optimize this and also introduce some more RouterBOARD CPU boards that have more CPU resources.

Please visit booth 605 at WiMaxcon, hosted by the local wireless user
groups.

"WiMAXcon is the only place you need to go to learn about the opportunities
afforded by WiMAX/802.16/HIPERMAN wireless broadband if you are a service
provider, enterprise or government decision maker.

Think of WiMAX as WiFi for the WAN. There are infinite applications for this
technology. For example, a service provider can serve up to one Gbps of data
over dozens of miles. Furthermore, users can use licensed or unlicensed
frequencies via WiMAX. Simply stated, WiMAX service providers enjoy a
TREMENDOUS advantage over wired service providers using cable or copper.
Equipment costs are lower, truck rolls are minimized and you don't need the
ILECs' cooperation to compete.

Best of all, using WiMAX, those mysterious outages that CLECs frequently
experience due to co-location issues will now be a thing of the past.

TMC, the sponsor of this event, has been hosting successful communications
events since 1986. For more than 30 years, TMC has enjoyed a stellar
reputation as a publishing and trade show company with a strong focus on
communications.

We guarantee you the best conference session topics, A+ quality speakers and
a minimal amount of commercialism. Only the best speakers are invited back
to speak at TMC events.

Although WiMAXcon is a standalone event, it is co-located with Internet
Telephony Conference & EXPO, the world's largest VoIP event. The killer
applications for WiMAX happen to be VoIP and the triple-play of voice, video
and data. There is only one place in the world where you can come under a
single roof and learn about these cutting-edge technologies simultaneously.
We hope to see you soon at WiMAXcon in Los Angeles."
