Anything else is constrained by the standards and receiver design.
Maybe they use receive combining when they can't run MIMO, but even here, they'll have issues, and
they make no claim of doing so.
There is no "MIMO" when only one end is MIMO.

Couldn't say for sure, I'm not that technical. I know that is Airgo's claim, and some tests we did with a Belkin MIMO router showed improved range and throughput. My guess is the MIMO technonology gives it better sensitivity and is better able to handle multipath.

how?

Actually, at least with Airgo's MIMO technology(Belkin/SOHOWare), aa MIMO APMIMO PCMCIA card will get better range than a standard 802.11g card when connecting to a standard 802.11g AP. Same when usingtrade it forwith a standard card vs a standard AP with a standard card.

Humphrey,
This is the best card I have in my whole pile. Wouldn'tAP, the APto really seeanything else.
It blew me away. You have to combine with their AP/Routerwhat it can do. Impressive.
Of course you do. If the card sends MIMO to an ordinaryenvironment, and ...will only 'see' (hear?) garbage, and visa versa.
Now then, tell us how you get 3X range in a LOS"3X compared to what, and in what type of environment, and at what throughput/rate?"
Its MIMO, not Magic.

Hello,
Anyone have experience with the Parkervision wifi cards?deadspots in your house, etc etc.
We thought it was voodoo, so we asked for a review unit... I'll be damned I get triple the range. I'll try a wardrive today with the card.
