It's been shown
(http://www.oreillynet.com/pub/a/wireless/excerpt/wirlsshacks_chap1/)
that using WEP, MAC access lists and disabling SSID broadcasts aren't
enough to stop someone from using your AP to connect to the internet.
I still do these things to keep out casual users, but can I really
prevent a determined hacker? I guess I could install a proxy between
the AP and the dsl modem, but I don't really have a server to spare.
Any other alternatives?
