One of my clients (a wireless equipment sales company) located in Orange County, southern California is looking for a Sales Engineer. Duties include pre-sales wireless network engineering and post-sales wireless network support. This person will help customers design their wireless networks and will also provide technical support for customers who have already deployed wireless networks.
To be effective in this position, the person will need at least one year of outdoor wireless networking experience including designing networks, deploying networks, and troubleshooting installed networks. Because a wireless network is an extension of a wired network, they will also need at least one year of experience supporting wired networks. Candidates who have physical site surveying and wireless site surveying experience, including the use of a spectrum analyzer to perform wireless site surveys are preferred. Last but certainly not least, because this is a position that involves working closely with and serving customers, the candidate must have a friendly, outgoing personality and enjoy working with people to help them solve their wireless problems.
