You've already told something about another 3.2.x release.
My PR could well go to next release once the current one turn out to be
huge.
I hope no one tries to use reconnect() in the meantime! :)
It would be nice to make this known bug public in the documentation.
Regarding the tests, I'll make time to at least review the diff for 3.2.2.
And probably some local tests on Windows.
I may be able to do more substantial tests in the next days, but only over
the PostgreSQL backend.
