Thanks Mateusz, awesome! The packages have been built for Fedora (Rawhide and 31) and RedHat/CentOS (7 and 8), and will soon find their way to the respective stable repositories: https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/?packages=soci
For some reason, the compilation error still persists on ARMv7 architecture: https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=38870194 Also, a very small thing, but worth mentioning: you can take advantage of the release page of GitHub (https://github.com/SOCI/soci/releases) to publish (copy/paste) the releases notes there. And it is generally a good idea to add name-explicit Git tags (i.e., soci-4.0.0), without deleting the existing (Git) tags, so that the automatically generated tar-balls get a meaningful name. Right now, with just the "4.0.0" Git tag, it yields https://github.com/SOCI/soci/archive/4.0.0.tar.gz (Famous) Examples of such GitHub release pages: https://github.com/protocolbuffers/protobuf/releases (Protocol Buffers) https://github.com/boostorg/boost/releases (Boost) For the packagers of other distributions, if you need help, do not hesitate. The RPM specification files for Fedora/RedHat/CentOS are hosted on Pagure: https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/soci Kind regards Denis Le sam. 9 nov. 2019 à 20:43, Mateusz Loskot <mate...@loskot.net> a écrit : > Hi, > > I'm pleased to announce the release of SOCI 4.0.0. > > The curated change log is available in the release/4.0 branch: > > https://github.com/SOCI/soci/blob/release/4.0/CHANGES > > The source packages are available at: > > > https://sourceforge.net/projects/soci/files/soci/soci-4.0.0/soci-4.0.0.tar.gz > > https://sourceforge.net/projects/soci/files/soci/soci-4.0.0/soci-4.0.0.zip > > The packages contain generated documentation in HTML format. > > The released source code is also available in Git tag at GitHub: > > https://github.com/SOCI/soci/tree/4.0.0 > > which is also automatically packaged in GitHub release: > > https://github.com/SOCI/soci/releases > > NOTICE: Archives generated by GitHub contains a snapshot of the Git > repository content for the tag, including documentation source in > Markdown, utility scripts, and other files not necessarily for end-users, > and those packages do NOT contain documentation in HTML format. > > The documentation is available to browse at: > > http://soci.sourceforge.net/doc/release/4.0/ > > On behalf of the SOCI team, I'd like to thank you all involved! > > Complete list of SOCI contributors is available at: > > https://github.com/SOCI/soci/graphs/contributors > http://soci.sourceforge.net/people.html > > Best regards, > -- > Mateusz Loskot, http://mateusz.loskot.net > > > _______________________________________________ > soci-devel mailing list > soci-devel@lists.sourceforge.net > https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/soci-devel >
