hi- I found out that I did not actually have an error. The screen displays the timestamp field funny in cygwin. I checked my vector and it is the right size. I will fix things so they arent as unweildy. I actually like the way soci does dates now. You can format them all kinds of ways in c++ with put_time function. To prove I am right I ran select in mintty and run cmd and got 2 different displays of data that are a stark contrast Have a cool night. gavin
