Sorry - I left out that the file in question is fbclient_ms.lib. I re-ran and tried to direct to that with the correct configuration option and it dropped it. Will let you know if I can trick it to be a shared file that soci will recognize. I am using mingw to build with cmake. thnx.
I decided that it doesn't recognize the library so while it can give me soci support I don't get true backend support. Interesting. I will try to use tricks to get it to recognize that file by fiddling with it using mingw but probably it will not let me mcguyver that one. thnk. roboloki
