Hello Ken,

is there a way to get access to the repo etc or should it be forked due
to the abandonce?

Q1: I've been an member in the past but cancelled the membership due to
money reasons and also being in europe we have the FSFE (free software
foundation europe).
Q2: I find the idea interesting to have a mastodon-like software with
low-requirements hosting (php and a database can be found quite cheap
and easy), I have an interest in updateing older software and am
curious if it is possible to restart this project and move it forward,
despite having no idea if it is still used or just an enthusiast thing
due to mastodon. Open-source software is there for everyone to step in
and fix or enhance things, most projects are written in a language I'm
not familiar and therefore I can't help with my knowledege but I think
for gnu social it should work. Working for fun and experience is
different than working for money ;)
Q3: Currently I tend to: knowledge -> getting an overview what needs to
be done (issue-tracker or similar things), is it commonly used and also
getting access to the original code repo/website to bring it alive
again.
Q4: Are you using any chat software like irc? The matrix bridge for
libera.chat has been cancelled a while back. (I do now)

Regards,
Nupilios
