I would replace "a mass shooting, a heat wave and the Danish elections"
with "Charleston church shooting, Pakistan heat wave, Danish elections, and
more" in the social copy to match the headline.

Also, the hashtag is #NewsOnWikipedia :)

I'd also go with this for FB/G+:
