I would like to see more emphasis on the gentle care and feeding of our leads. Sure, Gerry Singleton is a bit crusty sometimes, and Chad is crusty sometimes, but look how much they do for OOo. I had the pleasure of meeting Gerry in Toronto, and I can tell you that he really loves the project. Chad has given us URLs and lots of press. Jacqueline McNally has put this project on the same priority level as her own business on many occasions. Louis Suarez-Potts works 6.5 days per week. Daniel Carrera can get upset about things, but he has created OOoAuthors, which is actually a huge relief valve for the project, since people who get steamed with our main leadership have a place to go for a different kind of expression. I am verbose as hell, and very opinionated and cranky in person, for which I apologize to anyone I offended at OOoRegicon. And yet, with almost no budget, we, with the help of our biz sponsors, are doing a pretty decent job of creating and distributing code which is challenging a market leader which has crushed all other opposition. That is a huge accomplishment! Please keep that significant accomplishment in mind during our discussions.
