FFII has a very good page on software patents:

I think this page could make a difference. It shows normal people, with
photographs, explaining why they disagree with software patents. As
Pamela Jones says, the photographs are important because they show that
people who oppose sw patents are not a bunch of punk free software kids.
But they are real business people, they are the industry.
I would encourage anyone who can to send in a testimonial and a
photograph. I'm sure we have a lot of European entrepenours here. Ian is
one, I'm sure there are more.
I wonder if we can get Mark Shuttleworth to send in a testimonial. Or
perhaps someone from SUSE? Or someone from Mandrake? Yeah, I know it's
not very creative. But I don't really know many companies outside FOSS
that oppose sw patents.
